Snow Day...so far!

It really happened!!! And it's STILL happening!

We woke up to nothing... not even a snow flurry. Kind of disappointing, especially since we kind of thought no one would have to go in to work! But this was not too surprising given Alabama weather. But right around 10:00am the first few snow flurries started coming down! It didn't take long for it to start coming down harder and it was accumulating a little by about 10:40.

Madelyne got out of school early, but most people still had to be at work. Fortunately I didn't have to be anywhere specific today and could work from home. However, you know me and snow... do you think I actually got much done?! I tried! So Kelley, Madelyne, and Bennett came by to see me on their way back home. At this point, the roads weren't bad and Jay was still at work. I was so glad they came by!

It is STILL snowing and I am loving it!! The picture above was taken when they left around 11:30... and now just 45 or so mins later those footprints are completely covered and you can't even see the sidewalk! We have probably about an inch on grassy areas right now and our road is quickly covering over. It has been advised for employers to allow employees to go home soon across central Alabama as roads are quickly becoming slick. So Cullen is on his way home now! Oh my goodness gracious I am so glad that we are finally getting a "real" snow day!! I hope it sticks around through the night. Now I'm off to get some chili cooking on the stove. :-)
