Cullen made it home safely from work just as the roads were starting to get slushy. He actually had trouble getting his car up the little incline onto our parking area because he kept spinning out!
This picture of our 1.5 inches was taken about 2 hours ago at 1:30pm. We definitely have more now!
We always take the cats out to see the snowflakes. I'm sure they love us for that. haha!
We've never let them get down in the snow, though. But we did today and they were cute. If somebody put my bare foot in a cold, wet substance, I'm pretty sure I would pull it back and freak out. But apparently it didn't bother them!

Love my sweet boys!!
Check out those claws. Allie was a little scared!
Gainer has always loved running around in the snow. She hasn't gotten as excited about it today though. Probably because it's so deep her belly almost touches!
We are just loving our snow day! This is different than any we've had recently since it didn't start until after everyone was up, dressed, and had gone to work (well, some had). AND it's actually snowed for longer than an hour or two. AND it's not going to melt (hopefully) in the next couple of hours!
This picture below was only taken a little over an hour ago and the snow has continued to come down pretty hard since then. I'm sure we have at least a half inch more by now. I can't believe it's been snowing for over 5 hours straight now! What a beautiful day. Just what I've been wanting and I love it!

We're planning to stay in, stay warm, eat chili, and watch the Winter Olympic opening ceremonies tonight. The temperature is right around freezing right now and is only going to get colder. So it's pretty likely that the roads won't be too great this evening. But hey, I'm for sure not complaining. That is what snow days are all about!
(see post below for 1st part of snow day)
PS - Yes, I realize that my blog header is way outdated. Gotta update that soon.
